The Fleurieu Antiques and Collectables Group will hold an exhibition at Carrickalinga House on Wednesday afternoon, September 26.
Fourteen members will display their favourite collectables, including jewellery, Barbie dolls, kitchenalia, vintage hand saws, and Carnival Glass. They will be available to answer questions and talk about their exhibits.
This is the first exhibition the group has held in its 15 year history, and members are quite excited about it.
Besides the displays, there will be quizzes on antiques and collectables so visitors can test their knowledge. Prizes will be given for those who have the highest scores.
Members will be dressed in period costume in keeping with the atmosphere, and afternoon tea will be available.
There is no charge, as the exhibition has been sponsored by the Flourishing on the Fleurieu Festival, which aims to encourage newcomers to the Southern Fleurieu to take part in the community activities which are available.
